This 1998.5 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro Sport belongs to Kevin H., one of the owners of Apex Tuning. He purchased the car back in 2006 with around 112k miles and quickly began getting all of the maintenance up to date. This included changing out all of the fluids, replacing all of the front control arms, tie rods, engine mounts, timing belt, water pump, and the list goes on and on.

Being Kevin’s daily driver, and considering he has several projects, upgrades on this car usually only happened after a lot of consideration or when there was he ran across an awesome deal. For example, Kevin purchased another B5 A4 parts car and quickly sold enough parts to make his money back. Therefore, the Valeo E-Code headlights, Neuspeed rear sway bar, APR Stage 3 components (inconel exhaust manifold, stainless cat-pipe), and a few other pieces basically ended up being free.

With the car nearing the 190k-mile mark, it was time for another timing belt service. At this point, it was decided that this would be a good time to go ahead and upgrade the stock connecting rods in preparation for a bigger turbo. The future/planned upgrades are listed at the bottom.
